A Whole Bunch of Random….
Are you planning a beach wedding? Do you want a colorful bag to put everything for your welcome baskets in? Well then do I have the present for you. Land of Nod, Crate & Barrel’s sister store, has these great bags in four different colors that will work perfectly! There’s enough room to throw towels and flip flops and more into it! Check it out here! They’re only $14.95 each.

So this is a new one, I read today on a blog about a woman who has created her own blog to help pay for her wedding. How is she doing this you ask? By asking for money! Yep, she has a blog complete with a PayPal account that anyone can use to donate $1 or more to her wedding fund. It turns out her blog has gotten a lot of negative, but also some positive reactions. I say hell, people are probably just jealous that they didn’t think of it first. I mean, I definitely would say it’s against etiquette, and wouldn’t do it myself, but I would also love to have some extra money for my wedding that I didn’t have to work for! Check out The Bride’s Guide blog for an article about deposit insurance. With the economy being as it is, Darcy tells the story of a woman who lost her entire deposit when her venue filed bankruptcy and closed for good. Personally, a very popular wedding venue called the Columbia Gorge Hotel here in Oregon just did the same thing. In the event that that could happen to your venue, don’t be the one stuck trying to fight for years to get your money back. Be proactive and pay for wedding deposit insurance, along with your typical wedding insurance. It’s available by companies such as RV Nuccio & Associates, Travelers Insurance, and WedSafe. Those are the key notes of the moment. Hope all of you are having a great Thursday!
